COSVIO’s 2025 Community Picnic Brings Families Together in Celebration of Unity
CARMICHAEL, CA – The Council of Sacramento Valley Islamic Organizations (COSVIO) hosted its Annual Community Picnic on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Hagan Community Park, bringing together families from across the Sacramento region for a day filled with laughter, connection, and community spirit.
The event featured soccer, volleyball, and flag football, alongside bouncy houses, food trucks, and bazaar vendors representing local Muslim-owned small businesses. With free parking and open admission, the picnic offered a welcoming space for families to gather, enjoy the outdoors, and celebrate the values that unite the community.
“This year’s picnic was a beautiful reminder of what our faith teaches us — that the believers are like one body; when one part feels pain, the rest responds with care and compassion,” said the COSVIO Board. “Through gatherings like this, we strengthen that bond of brotherhood and sisterhood. Unity, joy, and togetherness are acts of worship when rooted in love for our community.”
The COSVIO Community Picnic has become a cherished tradition in Sacramento’s Muslim community, offering families an opportunity to reconnect, support local entrepreneurs, and nurture relationships that transcend organizational and cultural lines.
